New resource for ward committee training
The Project for Conflict Resolution and Development (PCRD) has just developed a five module training programme for ward committees.
The modules were developed after the past two years of training ward committees in mainly rural municipalities in the Eastern Cape as well as training municipal officials as ward committee trainers. The modules developed are:
- Public Participation
- Roles and Functions of Ward Committees
- Dealing with Conflict
- Strategic Planning
- Meetings and Minutes
Each module consists of a trainer’s handbook as well as participant handouts and a PowerPoint presentation.
All five modules are available on CD for R50 (inclusive of postage and packaging) or R200 for a printed version. For further information please contact Ms Wela Zozo at pcrd@pcrd.org.za
