The GGLN has two categories of membership: Full Membership and Associate Membership

Full membership of the GGLN is open to all South African registered non-profit organisations (NPOs) that have at least one core programme that focuses specifically on issues of good governance at the local level.
Associate membership of the GGLN is open to all South African NPOs as well as academic institutions/academics and consultancies/consultants working in the field of local government.
