African Centre on Citizenship and Democracy (ACCEDE)
 
ACCEDE is an academic institute which is committed to citizen centred democratisation and development processes, focusing on how citizens articulate and claim their rights, and how government ensures democracy and development through its policies. The Centre’s mission is to produce high quality research on citizenship, accessing political and socio-economic rights at local level. The Centre also has a commitment to policy dialogue, and has engaged directly with policy makers and local, provincial and national levels.

Built Environment Support Group (BESG)

BESG exists to support the poor and vulnerable to access resources and increasingly gain control over their lives and destinies, through the promotion of sustainable livelihoods and habitable environments, achieving basic socio-economic rights and capacitating local government. The DDP was initiated in 1993 as a partner project of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of Germany. For the last 10 years it has been a non-partisan non-profit organisation, supporting capacity building on governance and civil society levels to ensure that both are empowered for meaningful participation in South Africa's social transformation.

Development Action Group (DAG)
 
The Development Action Group (DAG) is a leading non-profit organisation working throughout South Africa to fight poverty and promote integrated urban environments. DAG has an established and successful track record in land negotiation and acquisition processes, in-situ upgrading, and the implementation of community-led housing developments. EISA is a not for profit section 21 company, established in 1996, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Its mission is to strengthen electoral processes, good governance, human rights and democratic values through research, capacity building, advocacy and other targeted interventions. The organisation services governments, electoral commissions, political parties, civil society organisations and other institutions operating in the democracy and governance fields throughout Africa.

IDASA is a nationally recognised public interest organisation in South Africa. It maintains international links with many similar organisations through the world movement for democracy.

The Socio-Economic Rights Institute of South Africa (SERI) is a non-profit organisation providing professional, dedicated and expert socio-economic rights assistance to individuals, communities and social movements in South Africa. SERI conducts research, engages with government, advocates for policy and legal reform, facilitates civil society coordination and mobilisation, and litigates in the public interest. Their thematic areas include housing and evictions, basic services and migrant rights.

Trust for Community Outreach and Education (TCOE)

TCOE is a national organisation operating in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Limpopo Provinces. The focus of the organisation's work is land rights, land access and land use. The work and interventions of the organisation are centred around three pillars: Land and agrarian reform, local government and food sovereignty. We facilitate self-organisation and build the membership organisation of small farmers and producers. TCOE also helps create Restitution Forums and Land Rights Committees.
