The GGLN, through its members, implements a programme of learning, research, information dissemination and advocacy activities.

Learning

The GGLN supports members to organise and host learning events in their respective geographical regions.

Research and Documentation

Through its members, the GGLN conducts research on a range of issues pertaining to local governance in South Africa.

Promoting Innovation

This programme component aims to encourage and enable GGLN members to develop, pilot, replicate and document innovative and best practice models that promote citizen engagement with local government.

Advocacy

Advocacy is an integral thread that runs through all aspects of the GGLN programme.
